Presenteeism; Adults go to Work when they are Sick…duh
Presenteeism is/means coming to work when you’re sick.
Well why would you stay home and burn a vacation day if you can get paid for being sick?
Far too true to be amusing….and even grosser if you ponder that nobody really cleans the office!! ew!

In 2014, we are seeing more of the term Presenteeism related to Wellness. It’s a metric right next to absenteeism. It’s tough to measure who is at work sick and who is not at work on a sick day, yet not actually sick on a sick day (maybe sick child, maybe errands, maybe other emergency).
Let’s encourage Prevention via No More Presenteeism and if someone is coughing and hacking a lung all over everyone at work, send them home. Poo Poo to Presenteeism! It’s the best prevention with no irreversible or consequential side effects!
