Heart and Soul; Who are We Really? Will Robots take our Jobs? 1 in a Series
“Is there Money where there’s Heart?” (a series of blog posts by Michele the Trainer, super inspired by Jana Pochop’s folk rap song Money + Heart and her book Money and Heart)
There should be money where there is heart (and soul) because THAT is WHO WE ARE. Let’s discuss:
who are you?
who am I?
♫•¨•.¸♥¸.•¨•♫ “We are spirits in the material world.” ♫•¨•.¸♥¸.•¨•♫ Sting
When the body dies, it’s different than when it’s alive. The soul or spirit leaves. That soul and spirit is what makes us attractive.
Jana has another song called When Your Soul Leaves Your Body that we featured on my podcast, the Michele The Trainer Show. Jana Pochop and I first met to record Episode 13 of the Michele the Trainer show, an interesting interview about her singer/songwriter career and you can hear her song, When Your Soul Leaves Your Body, at the end of our interview here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/michele-the-trainer-show/id1030900143?mt=2&ls=1
We are not the material body. We are not the body is actually the core teaching in yoga philosophy. (Yoga really is not about handstands and crazy poses. Yoga is deeper. Yoga, the word, means to unite, or yoke, man to the Supreme Spirit.)
IMPORTANT NOTE: Spiritual monetization, specifically, is generally frowned upon and that is why worship and even some yoga is generally funded by donation. However, soulful creations INSPIRED by heart or spirit, are really better than things made by robots, generally support good people, and those are the creations that I’m endeavoring to illuminate.
We are not robots.
We are not things.
We are not made of plastic.
In this life, we have to feed our spirit.
Super simple, but we have to be reminded, because like Sting says, or Madonna even better, ♫•¨•.¸♥¸.•¨•♫ “We are living in the material world.” ♫•¨•.¸♥¸.•¨•♫
Sadly we have created a world, that today, is largely valuing things that can be made by robots or machines, but this will not serve humanity.
We have to know WHO we are, to know WHAT we need.
If we don’t address who we are, we can become sad or depressed because we are ignoring the soul food we require. (No no, I’m not talking about fried soul food, I mean creativity including words, music and art that connect and feed our spirit soul).
If we do not create a culture that rewards folks for creating HUMAN heartfelt creations that touch our soul or spirit, or help us connect to our soul or spirit, or to the Supreme Spirit we are losing.
“Is there Money where there’s Heart?” Jana Pochop
There should be, and there must be, for everyone’s benefit.
We have to know who we are, and what we really need, and redirect our culture and communities to support all of the sunshine-y creations. Or else, yes, the robots will take our jobs.
