The 3Ms of Michele the Trainer are Motivation, Movement and Mindset. I’ve worked with people both in person and remotely to help them develop these three traits. Clients learn the 3Ms, make each M their own, and this has created years of goal oriented success for all. By establishing Motivation, Movement, and Mindset in your life on a permanent basis, you can become happier, healthier, lose weight and keep it off.
One of my favorite stories was a client of mine, Stacy. She had been struggling with her weight for decades. Just like me, she was almost 200 pounds overweight. In fact, in pictures, we look a lot alike. She read my story online, about how I lost over 165 pounds and kept if off, without drugs or surgery. She figured if I could do it, I could show her how to do it too.
Stacy lives in the South. The Deep South, someplace in Southern Louisiana.
She had many of the same worries that everyone else does about losing weight when they are working with me:
“I don’t have time.” “I can’t eat like you do.” “There is no way I can keep going.”
We talked and I answered her questions one by one.
We found time every morning, before her three kids got up to exercise. She would wake up and exercise for 30 minutes. Just some aerobics in her living room.
Later, while the kids were at school, she would go to the gym for an hour. Honestly, it was the hour she used to sit staring at the TV and snacking. Now she watches TV at the gym and works out.
She doesn’t eat like me. I am vegan who eats only organic. I also live in LA where that is much easier than in a tiny town in Louisiana. She didn’t want to do it and it wasn’t for her, she said. Together, we learned how to take her favorite foods and make them much healthier by substituting some of the unhealthy stuff for good stuff. It only made her favorites taste better.
She lost 184 pounds and is at her ideal weight. She feels better and can run circles around her kids who are between 5 and 12.
The coolest part? We have never met. We did everything over the phone and via Skype. We would even email and text message sometimes.
