Two Easy Healthy Salty Snacks

What are 2 healthy snacks you can take with you on the go?

Healthy foods can be abundant and satisfying.

  1. Popcorn!  

Corn is best if it’s organic these days (if you wonder why, watch the movie Food, Inc.), but for a small investment in an air popper, you can buy organic kernels and pop your own.  With an air popper you save calories because you’re using no oil. Take the bowl with you in a bag or store your batch of popcorn in a large bag.  There are so many topping options!

Popcorn has a lot of fiber too.

2.  Hummus and… 

I think we’ll just call this “Hummus and…”.  The potential pairings are vast.  For example:

Cucumbers

Carrots

Pickles

Bell peppers

Jicama

Romaine leaves

Beans are very filling and this makes “Hummus and…” a great choice since your dipping vegetables can be abundant and affordable.
