Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie
Forget pumpkin!
Chocolate and Peanut Butter, that IS dessert.
Are these flavors on your mind?
Here is a way to get decadent dessert flavors into a healthy smoothie that you can have anytime.
NOTE: If you’re allergic to nuts this is not your smoothie! Let me know if you need an option.
Organic ingredients always, when available.
1 cup nut mylk*
1 teaspoon no alcohol vanilla extract, or a piece of a real vanilla bean
2 tbsp raw cacao powder
Blend those 3 ingredients first until liquefied, then add-
2 frozen bananas
4-8 medjool dates, pitted, OR maple syrup to taste (start with 1 tbsp)
¼ cup peanut butter (salted crunchy is my choice)
Blend and serve in a frosty glass
Your result should be a very thick shake!
OPTIONS:
Icy option, add a handful of ice and pulse
*you can use almond or coconut milk from a carton, but even better is to make your own cashew milk (the only catch is you have to make it the day before)
Cashew Mylk for this smoothie
Just remember it’s 1:1
So rinse cashews then add I cup raw organic cashews to 1 cup of filtered water, and store in refrigerator overnight
The next day drain, rinse and blend
Keep 1 cup of this for your smoothie mylk (if you were only using for mylk you could strain it, but for the smoothie thicker is better anyway!)
